The Flat Sheet Ceramic Membrane Module is a complete submerged filtration unit designed for membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems. It consists of multiple alumina flat sheet ceramic membranes mounted within a corrosion-resistant support frame to provide efficient solid-liquid separation in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment.
The module adopts an outside-in suction filtration configuration and incorporates proprietary ceramic glazed sealing technology, providing excellent resistance to strong acids, alkalis, high salinity, and chlorine-containing wastewater. Compared with conventional polymer membrane modules, it offers significantly longer service life, lower maintenance requirements, and greater operational stability.
The modular design allows flexible capacity expansion and easy integration into new or existing MBR systems.
The membrane module operates under submerged suction filtration.
Installed inside the biological treatment tank, the module continuously separates clean water from activated sludge. Permeate is withdrawn through the membrane under vacuum pressure, while solids remain outside the membrane surface.
Air scouring beneath the membrane module continuously removes accumulated particles, reducing fouling and maintaining stable filtration performance.
